EVENT DATE & LOCATION
Like last year, we are striving to provide entertainment unlike any other event. We have chosen to incorporate our Car & Bike Show with the pre-show entertainment into a 1-Day event, scheduled for Saturday, July 19th, 2008. We hope this encourages all of our guests to stay beyond the award ceremony to enjoy the entertainment creating unforgettable memories. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by Voting from 12:00 to 2:00, Awards at 4:00 pm, and a Live Performance by The Trade Mark Band kicking off at 5:00 pm.
The show is held each year at 2 S. 111 Green Road, Elburn, Illinois 60119.
CHARITY BENEFIT
This year the proceeds from the event will benefit the Northern Illinois Food Bank, headquarters in St. Charles, Illinois. A member of America’s Second Harvest – The Nation’s Food Bank Network, acquires donated food from retailers, manufacturers, corporations, and community resources and distributes it through its network of over 520 food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, and other nonprofit food assistance sites to help the 275,008 people living in poverty in 13 northern Illinois counties including Boone, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Will, and Winnebago Counties. V3 Companies of Illinois, headquartered in Woodridge, has graciously offered to match all proceeds (up to $2,500) that the COUNTRY CAR & BIKE SHOW has generated for the NIFB. With their help, we can be accountable for the largest donation to date, so come out and help our efforts of raising money for people in need in the Northern Illinois area.
LIVE AUCTION!
The Kane County Sheriff's Department will be hosting a Live Auction of a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner in Super Condition! This vehicle was seized in the efforts against drugs and all proceeds will be used for drug enforcement equipment and training. Visit www.countrycarshow.com to see a picture of the car. More information on it's history and current pictures will be added to the website soon. The car is fully restored with Matching Numbers! Be sure to tell your friends because neither them, or you, will want to miss this!
EVERYTHING ELSE
Similar to years past, we pride ourselves on hosting an event unlike any other. This means 30 award eligible classes with specified parking on over 7 acres of all grass showfield (plus a new Open Class for people who prefer to park with their friends), beautiful laser engraved REAL glass awards, CASH PRIZES, great food provided by the Elburn Lions Club, unbelievable Sweet Corn, and amenities beyond your imagination.
