This vehicle is a rotisserie nuts and bolts restoration of a 1968 Barracuda that was rebuilt as a Resto-mod of a Super Stock Hemi Barracuda.
Body and paint
The exterior, interior, and underbody metal was completely finished to a smooth surface. The floor panels, wheel wells, frame, interior, and exterior body panels were restored better than new to a high quality show condition.
The body has had new floors and rear quarter panels put on it. The wheel houses have been mini tubbed to fit a bigger tire. The fenders are steel and the correct style. One piece molded hood is fiberglass.
Three coats of black paint and five coats of clear were applied to the exterior. The interior and underbody were painted black.
Engine: New 484 ci/ 660horsepower Dyno proven
A&A Reproduction magnesium Cross ram, Two Holley 770 carbs, chrome valve covers, reproduction fuel lines, red race Hemi plug wires, correct style blue coil,and race Hemi air horns were added to make it look like a race Hemi. This motor was professional built and assembled by a very well known motor shop. I have all of the receipts and a list of all of the motor parts.
Drive train: New/Rebuilt
The transmission is a Rebuilt Mopar 833 4 speed with a hurst super shifter.This transmission was chosen for its performance and cruising capability. The rear end is a professionally built Dana 60 4.10 gear ratio with a suregrip. (new strange Axles And DTS rear end housing).
Interior
The carpet, headliner and tinted windshield are new, An original back glass was used since new ones do not exist. The condition of the back glass is very good. The dash, gauges, and trim were restored back to original. The radio delete, heater delete, mirror delete, seats, aluminum seat brackets , window straps, super stock battery in the trunk, master cylinder offset plate, Heater box delete plate and special hemi k member were only found on Super Stock Hemi vehicles.
Chrome / trim
All stainless,trim,grills,Taillights and chrome parts were either new or reconditioned back to original quality or better. No pitting, oxidation or flaws.
Wheels New
The wheels on the car are crager ss front and rear
15 by 4.5 inch in the front
15 by 10 inch in the rear
Rear tires are mickey Thompson sportsman 12.50 wide by 29.50 tall
Front tires are correct original style Firestone bias ply tires. 6.70 by 15 inch.
Brakes: New
Master Power Brakes, front Discs, Rear Drums
Stainless Steel brake and fuel lines
Correct style master cylinder and offset plate
Suspension & Steering New / Rebuilt
The front suspension has been completely gone through with all new bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, torsion bars and shocks. The rear shocks and super stock springs are also new.
Cooling: New
Correct style 033 radiator and 7 blade aluminum fan.
Eldelbrock waterpump
The car runs cool at about 180 degrees idling.
Exhaust system: New
2 1/8 inch Hedman Race Headers with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers.The exhaust system consists of full 3 inch tubing mandrel bent exiting out the rear of the car.
This car is fun to drive and always draws a very large crowd at all of the car shows.
